Are you about to start a new job as a professor, teaching your first ever geosciences class? You need everything to go smoothly so that you build up your confidence and have an immediate and positive impact on your students. If this class goes well, you can secure your job and maybe turn it into a career. To do so, you have to get all of the right equipment and supplies.

CareerYou must start with a great textbook. This is the basis for everything that the students will do. It is the book that they will be using outside of class, when you are not there to help them and answer questions, so you must be sure that you can trust it to give them accurate information. The book should also be interesting. If it can give them the information in an engaging manner, they will be much more likely to enjoy learning and to retain the information.

However, you should not neglect to get geophysical equipment from Advanced Geosciences, Inc. Students are going to need to learn in a hands-on fashion, as well as out of the book. They will enjoy these lab-based lessons more than the lectures. First, they need to learn how to use the equipment, which some of them may end up using for the rest of their lives. After that, they need to start taking what they are learning in the book and in your assignments and put it all into action out in the field.

One approach I’ve heard consistently in education refers to the need to improve our teaching practices, because now our doing has to be different from the past, which leads to wonder What needs to be done better? And what and how to change? An answer to these questions specifically found her to learn and develop professional skills in my role.

Considering that the quality of Professionalism means being competent and responsible in a profession began to take note that our competency-based teacher performance would require a knowledge of which is essential in an activity, thinking them one by one, delving into their contextual meaning, understanding them to extract the maximum benefit, conducting a methodical reflection to integrate content or resources expressed in them, i.e. What knowledge, what skills, what attitudes are at stake in each How to conform and orchestrate a network or family of skills to our work?, and obviously look potentiate for use in a host of situations, sharing with others (fellow teachers, students and parents) findings, strategies and practices from these experiences .

For anyone, the idea may seem strikingly attractive, “being able to …” “be able to …” or saying “I’m better than yesterday.” The mention of this possibility involves no greater difficulty, but lives it day by day it is, it is not easy to improve.

Tell the others: “learned” is not enough if there is honesty, if we do not face our professionalism beyond discourse, if we do not listen to others, otherwise we consider common challenges, if not fought against routine, otherwise we new ways, if we assume that we can be educators and learners while, otherwise we show our commitment, individually and in group, in addition, I realized that improving the knowledge and skills development in various educational means moving towards dexterity. Finally, I learned that today is inescapable stand up to the professional.
